LUNGLESS FROG !!!

Lungless frog

Frogs, the little creatures that make your life easier by eating bees and other animals like that are animals that belong to the Amphibian kingdom. All of them have the characteristics that all living things have: breath, eat, move, grow etc. But all of them? A lungless frog was found in a cold water steam on the island Boreo in Indonesia. It breaths but not through the lungs, that he does not have, but through his skin. This amazing creature is called Barbourula Kalimantanesis. A fisherman found it accidently while he was fishing at the cold water. This kind of frog had been found once again before 15 years but none did something for this. Actually scientists and biologists do not want to sacrifice and dissection it because they believe it is precious. The reason that it can breath through his skin is because it has low metabolism.
I chose this article is because amphibians is an interesting section of biology and I though it is nice to learn new things that involves everything in this planet. The thing that grabbed my attention is the part that says that it was found also 15 years ago but they did not sacrifice it. It was one of the most interesting articles but I preferred this one because I like frogs and I also now it is valid because it would be weird to come up with something scientific that does not exist because they know that many people depend on this source. Now I know that it has a low metabolism and it does not need much oxygen. In my opinion they should dissect the frog because they might have learned a lot of things, for example what it is on its skin that it can breath through it. I have never thought or heard  that something like this could ever exist but now I believe on it and I think it is a really important information for scientists.

WATERMELON JUICE MAY BE NEXT "GREEN" FUEL

Watermelon juice may be next "Green" fuel

As scientists at U.S figured out, our favorite summer fruit can be used as fuel. Watermelon's juice may be used as bio-fuel. 1/5  of all watermelons contain rids that turn off consumers so farmers leave them because they are substantial. Why? Because the wasted sugar is an ethanol source, based on scientists. But isn't it waste? It is waste of watermelons but you can conserve energy and money. So when you go on a picnic trip don't throw the watermelons, they can be useful.

I chose this article because watermelon is my favorite fruit and because I want to learn solutions about helping ecology. The title was very well-performed and grabbed my attention. I learned that the juice of watermelons can turn into fuel and that is something that can make us improve but we have to waist a lot of watermelons. I believe it is true because this is a site that we can trust and it never talks about things that doesn't exist.I was very surprised when I read this article because I have never thought something like this could ever be true. Fortunately it was. This article affects the world of science because it may solve many problems and improve the ecology.

I hope you liked it

SNAPPY THE ORANGE CROCODILE!

Snappy the orange crocodile!

All the crocodiles we know are light or dark green. But Snappy an 8 foot long crocodile in Melbroun is the exception. His owner Tracy Sandstrom was so scared when he woke up a morning and saw his pet orange!  Can you imagine? Fortunately he wasn't suffering from anything and they found out what the problem was. At nights, he used to sleep at the small lake that his owner made for him, but one day the filter was destroyed!  So when the leaves fell, the water turned orange so he did!Unfortunately for his glory, it isn't permanent.
I chose this article because the beautiful color of his skin attracted me and I couldn't say no. Searching through all the scientific sites that was the most colorful. I didn't know that if the water of the lake change then your skin can also change! I am sure it is true because it has a video online so we can see him.It was really amazing to read this article and in my opinion many strange things happen because oƒ a lot of reasons.
This article doesn't really talk about the things we study at science but it is also something scientific. This event in my opinion didn't affect at all scientists because I think they know those stuff.

GIANT JELLYFISH INVENTION!

                    GIANT JELLYFISH INVENTION

text by Ruth A. Musgrave

http://kids.nationalgeographic.com/kids/stories/animalsnature/giant-jellyfish-invantion/

We all know, and some of us may have been bitten by, jellyfishes. But something unbelievable happened at the coast of China and north- south Korea. GIANT JELLYFISHES WERE FOUND! Divers first saw them and it was something that nobody could believe. Those "small" jellyfishes weigh  450 pounds, just like a female lion. That is actually the reason that fishers' nets break. Because of the weigh. They actually poisson other fishes so fishers can't sell them. They are trying to invent some nets that will keep them away. Another thought is to  sell them so people can actually eat them. Scientists believe that they came so close to the coats because they have food to eat because they are not a lot of fishers to take the fishes.
I chose this article because the photo grabbed my attention. Searching through a lot of sites it was the only one that interested me. I learned that those kind of jellyfishes when they are born they are like a grain but after six months those babies become like washing machines. I really agree with the author and those fishes may destroy peoples' boats or nets. They are kind of dangerous creatures. I  definitely believe this article because they had a photo of a diver and the jellyfish and because we can trust this website.

NATURES CRYSTAL PALACE

NATURES CRYSTAL PALACE

By Devin Powell

Wednesday September 12, 2011

At Mexico’s cave of crystals as the Mexicans call, a strange phenomenon was found. Under a laboratory microscope scientists observed the crystals and they found out that those tiny crystals grow less than a billionth of a meter per day. The scientists explained their fast growth by telling us that the temperature in the cave is about 50-58 degrees!

This article grabbed my attention because of the title and I thought it would be very nice and interesting. So it is. After a lengthy research, I found this pretty nice site that is well informed about a lot of interesting news. I learned a lot about crystals and it was really interesting. In my opinion this article is 100% true because strange things may happen in life. Unfortunately the article doesn’t give any detailed explanation of the composer of the crystals and how it is created. I know that the crystal has inside molecules, which are formed and developed under specific externals conditions.   This is another form of science that we will learn about them as time pass. I hope teachers have in mind to teach us about them because I think it is a very interesting unit of science. I hope you enjoyed the article so did I.

WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT LIVING THINGS AND WHAT WOULD WE LIKE TO LEARN?

All the living things have some common objectives. They all grow, they have needs, they multiply, they move and they breath. We know that some of the living things need special living conditions and some do not. I would like to know more about them. I would like to know what are the       consequences if they do not carry out their needs? Or what do they do if they are not in their natural home? How can they survive?

GOALS FOR SCIENCE

My first goal for Science is to increase my level in Science so I can explain easily any question that it will be needed to be answered.
My second goal is to enrich my Science vocabulary so I can speak better the "The language of Science"
